Scott Hubbell is a 30-year veteran lifeguard for the L.A. County Fire Department Lifeguard Division. He has been a member of 6 national championship lifeguard teams, coach of Team California at the first Hawaiian International Lifeguard Championships, founder of the American Surf Racing Association and the marketing director of the L.A. County Lifeguard Association. A top ocean swimmer for two decades, he is regarded as the consummate waterman.

He has been involved with dozens of water units for several major film studios.
His success record with these projects and his affiliation with the L.A. County Lifeguards brought him together with The Baywatch Production Company, with which he co-produced the teaser that sold the series to NBC. He has been the liaison between the L.A. County Lifeguards, California State Lifeguards, Hawaiian Lifeguards, Department of Beaches and Harbors, the U.S. Coast Guard and most recently the United States Lifeguard Association. His responsibilities have included special permits, product placement, water units, casting special talent, liaison to government agencies and trouble shooting many aspects of production. He has overseen the water safety for 220 Baywatch episodes. He maintained a safe, efficient environment with a peripheral prevention format, focusing on prevention, backed up with acute care and transport.

Scott Hubbell has been working in the film and television for over 25 years. He began his career in the late seventies as a part of Rondell’s stunt safety team working on Charlie’s Angels. His expertise has been utilized in dozens of projects for stunt groups and has been responsible for the training/safety of some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.
